Does Linode sell-off old hardware?

Just wondering if customers can purchase old kit, or does it go in landfill?

I'd like to know this too. I'd like to setup sednode.com selling sednode 256 and sendnode 512 servers for discount prices.

Just kidding, but the hardware is still good and well up to production spec for many companies.

They did sell off some hardware back in 2007 (blog entry), but I haven't seen them do it more recently.

I'd be interested…assuming the price is right of course…

As far as I'm informed (though I could be wrong), Linode donate its old servers to universities.
