Virtualization or Virtual Box

Hi name here is Loren I am trying to host a very old game and it requires Windows to run name of the game is called Black Hawk down and we were able to successfully get it to run here at the house with Virtual Box however after uploading the vbox Vdi files etc.. We have been running into an issue with Kernal Headers…

Suppose i should link Novalogic with this too since its there game..

Black Hawk Down requirements

Minimum System Requirements:

RAM: 256 MB or greater required

VGA:Any D3D card with 32 megs of ram. Compatible 3D cards: nVidia TNT-2, GeForce series, or ATI Radeon series.

DX: DirextX 8.1 required (Review system required DX9 for game to function properly.)

OS: Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP

HDD: 750 MB free space required

Sound: Any windows compatible

ODD: 4x or greater

Network: LAN: Up to 50 simultaneous players (may require dedicated server).

Internet: Up to 32 simultaneous players via NovaWorld

(Running VirtualBox in a Xen environment is not supported)

so took a look to make sure my headers where correct..

root@(none):/home/loren# uname -a

Linux (none) 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.63-2+deb7u2 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Any suggestions on how to fix this or get around this just to host my little windows box for my personal game server?

Another thought is how can one run Wine headless it is possible??

Unfortunately there is no support for VirtualBox running on Xen.

While X is not technically a requirement for Wine, it is required in practice - at least for now.
