Best Practices for SSL: IP Address

We're wondering if it's best practice to reuse the IP addresses already assigned to our Linode when an SSL based website goes down, or whether it's better to remove the IP address, and have a new one granted?

Thanks for your input.

The best practice is just to reuse it - there's no reason a different TLS-enabled website (or multiple websites, for that matter) can't use the same address.
