Why does Laravel Forge reject my API Key?

I am attempting to use Laravel Forge to deploy a web server. I am getting an invalid API key error.

The most common cause of the error you are encountering is the result of using an version 3 API key generated the Classic Linode Manager instead of an version 4 API token created in the Cloud Linode Manager:
