This seems to be a typical response time these days, at least one day for support tickets to get a response. If you need a more immediate response, you can call Linode. They have a page on support with the various ways you can get in contact with them.

Also, if your question is about some Linux configuration thing or some application running on your VPS, it's going to take a lot longer. Linode support answers questions about infrastructure and networking first. After that, your question gets prioritized depending on support staff workloads.
