One simple thing that is not clear to me in Linode, RE DNS

Is the IP address you get when you signup and deploy your first node static?

Can I put it into DNS, for example at zoneedit, and it will not changes?

Or do I need to use the DNS facilities at Linode to get an actual

static IP?

TIA

Yep, that's your static IP, regardless of what DNS service you use.

Thanks for your swift reply!

You're welcome. Have fun!

Will I get to keep that IP if I move to another node, say if I upgrade to a larger node?

Yes, if you stay within the same datacenter.
