Disable postfix

Hi guys

I've been having a lot of issues with my postfix account and so I have decided to move over to Google mail as I only need a few accounts.

What is the best way to disable(or get rid of) postfix before I go and set up google mail.

I'm runnning on ubuntu (lucid) with Apache.

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Chris

In your main.cf, set inet_interfaces = loopback-only and/or configure your firewall to block incoming traffic to port 25. This will allow your web server to continue sending mail, but Postfix will no longer receive any from outside.

If you don't need any mail capability at all (unlikely), just do apt-get remove postfix.
