Thanks!

Thank you very much, Chris!

Linode just keeps getting better and better. Their service has been responsive and helpful, and they have gone out of their way to always stay several steps ahead of other virtual hosting services in features and in quality. This is just one more reason that Linode is hands down the best virtual host available!
Thanks again for the extra memory!

damn, now I can’t brag to my friends that I am able to run Apache, Mysql, Postfix, PHP, SSHD, and my secret corporate web proxy tunnel all on 64 megs of ram!
Oh well, I’ll survive!

Thanks a lot for this. You really are a class organization.
Awesome!! Thanks, Chris!
I run java stuff, so I gotta jump into this thank-fest. Thanks, linode! Linode is the best. One small step for memory, a giant leap for IO tokens…
Excellent, thanks!
Out of curiosity, how did you add memory without rebooting the host? Or are there just fewer linodes on the host now?
Wow, that is excellent news! Bye bye 30 days uptime!
Thanks 😀

Yep, “hardware” upgrades certainly does that to ya! 😉
Yay!!!
Thanks!
For an extra 16Mb of RAM, I’ll lose my 133 day uptime 🙂 🙂
Thanks!
Excellent! I’m glad to see this happen!
Of course, this isn’t the first time that a free upgrade has come around… I was around when the disk space was upped, too.
As much as I hate rebooting, this is one time where a reboot is worthwhile. 🙂
w00t!
Dude, Linode, thank you!!! The generosity of this company continues to amaze me. It was only like 2 months ago that I got extra bandwidth for free too. Thanks a bunch!

Each host has tons of ram to spare (so ppl can add ram to their accounts if they need too). My host has like 4GB spare ram last I looked.

Much appreciated — thanks!!!!!
That extra bit will definitely help.
Woo Hoo !
Thanks Caker
Its reasons like this I keep referring people I work with in the IT industry to linode 🙂 it just gets better and better.

Obviously I’ve got to start reading the announcement forum more often, since I just saw this.
Thanks.
ptomblin, you’re not alone…
*set’s up calendar reminder to check linode forums at least once a week*
Thanks again folks, as allways, the service continues to impress.

Lol ditto. Damn Linux and it’s stability. If it’d only crashed I’d have been getting free stuff even sooner 😉
I rarely get involved in these thank-fest sorts of things, but I think its time to stand up and be counted.
When I signed up to Linode (Aug 2003) from my perspective it was all a bit of a leap into the unknown, never having heard of UML prior, and only going anywhere near a Linode ‘cos I was short on both time and money. I sort of thought that it would probably do for a couple of months whilst I find somewhere to colo my little Sun machine.
Never once have I had cause to regret chosing Linode.com, and the service and service generosity has been well in excess of what we’ve become used to thinking a few meagre dollars should buy.
Thank you Caker, I’m ever so pleased its all gone well for you, and long may you continue.
(My little Sun server continues to sit in a box rotting in the garage.)
