In an ongoing effort to better support our customers worldwide, you can now choose Google Pay as your primary method when making or managing recurring payments on Linode.
The alternate payment method of Google Pay is part of a broader initiative to improve the customer experience and ease of use when completing administrative actions on Linode. Early this year, we made similar enhancements to the login and sign-up flows to include commonly accepted account credentials from Google and GitHub.
Getting Started
It’s simple for current users to change their existing payment method. Start by logging into your Linode account, selecting “Billings and Payments”, and following the “Add Google Pay” prompt.
Set up Google Pay now, or you can also refer to the documentation on Managing Billing in Cloud Manager. The Support Team is here if you experience any issues.
Please note that new users are still required to use a valid credit card during the sign-up process. Google Pay can be set up as your preferred payment option once we authenticate your account.
What’s Next
We’re constantly developing solutions that make the cloud simple, affordable, and accessible to our community. The Q4 2021 roadmap includes the expansion of alternative payments with the addition of PayPal.
